Russia and Turkey will contribute to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“As for the visit of President Tayyip Erdogan to Azerbaijan (to Shusha – ed.), it was a visit within the framework of bilateral relations between Turkey and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Today we agreed with the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu that we will promote, each using his own opportunities, the reconciliation of the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the creation of conditions for Armenians and Azerbaijanis, and any other people of other nationalities to live on this land side by side as good neighbors”, – he said at the press-conference following the talks with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
“And then, in our opinion, any issues, including of a political nature, will be much easier to solve”, he added.
