Iran will stop transmitting information from its nuclear facilities to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
This was announced by the head of parliament Mohammad Ghalibaf. He noted that the term of work of the IAEA in Iran ended several days ago and will not be extended.
The agency asked Tehran to decide on the future of the mission as soon as its mandate ended at midnight on June 24. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said collecting data in Iran is a vital issue. However, the Iranian authorities refused to go to the meeting.
The mission has already been extended, first in February for three months, and then in May for another month. In addition, Tehran warned that if the United States does not lift the sanctions, then all recordings from surveillance cameras at nuclear facilities will be erased.
