The Czech Republic must establish new relations with Russia. This was announced on June 17 by the Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Babish
In the near future, consultations will be held with the participation of the Foreign Ministry and representatives of all parties in parliament on relations with Russia.
“Mr. Kulganek (Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulganek —EADaily) is now organizing such a meeting with the opposition, called all parliamentary parties and movements to get their opinion. Undoubtedly, we must establish new relations. I want to say that the Czech Republic is a sovereign country. It would be nice to talk about this in the whole parliament. And on the basis of this and act together“, – Babish.
At the same time, he answered in the affirmative to the question of whether the Czech Republic and Russia, following the example of the recent meeting of the heads of Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin, should discuss problems in the course of bilateral negotiations.
Recall that relations between the Czech Republic and became complicated after in mid-April Prague accused the special services of the Russian Federation of involvement in the explosion at military warehouses in Vrbetica and expelled 18 employees of the Russian embassy from the country. In response, Moscow declared 20 employees of the Czech diplomatic mission persona non grata. The Kremlin noted that the Czech Republic’s unsubstantiated accusations against the Russian Federation inflicted extreme harm on relations between the two countries.
