Turkey outlined how negotiations with the Russian Federation on air communication are progressing

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy assured that negotiations between Ankara and Moscow on the resumption of flights are progressing positively, RIA Novosti reports. Since April 15, due to the worsening epidemiological situation in Turkey, the Russian Federation has “paused” flights to this country until June 21.

“The Russians requested the program of the visit (a delegation of inspectors – ed.), We provided it. We are expecting a meeting”, – the DHA agency quotes the minister as saying.

Ersoy added that representatives of the Russian side “asked questions on two pages.”

“We answered them. Now they will conduct an on-site check”, – he explained.

According to Ersoy, the delegates from Russia, having visited Turkey, will provide the authorities with a detailed report, and then the question of resuming flights will be decided.

Earlier, it was reported Sputnik reported on the details of the resumption of flights with the resorts of Egypt.
