Israeli army announces strikes on homes and offices of Hamas members

Israeli aircraft last night struck more than 90 targets in the Gaza Strip, including the homes of high-ranking leaders of the Hamas movement, the army’s press service said.

“Among the targets attacked were the homes of the chairman of the Hamas political bureau in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, and his brother Muhammad Sinwar, who is in charge of supplying the organization in Khan Younis”, – the statement said.

The situation on the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip escalated on the evening of May 10. Clashes between Muslims and Israeli police, which began after the eviction of several Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem, escalated into hostilities.

As a result of almost continuous rocket attacks in Israel, eight civilians and one soldier were killed, more than 200 were injured.

Israel has also launched hundreds of strikes in the Gaza Strip, killing several militants, including senior warlords. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 140 people became victims of the Israeli attacks, about a thousand were injured.
