Riots broke out in 40 cities and towns of Israel last night, the participants of which burned cars, smashed government buildings and attacked police officers, 12 police officers were injured, 270 suspects were arrested, Israeli police spokesman Mika Rosenfeld told reporters.
“Border police were operating in 40 different areas across the country, where protesters burned cars, attacked law enforcement officers and damaged state property”, – Rosenfeld said.
“Twelve police officers were injured, mostly of moderate severity”, – Rosenfeld added.
