The Palestinian Authority is counting on the support of the two-state resolution within the framework of the UN Security Council.
The Ambassador of Palestine in Moscow Abdel Hafiz Nofal told about this on Monday, May 10. The meeting of the Security Council on the crisis in Jerusalem will be held today.
“Let’s see what comes of this, but, as I said, we do not want the whole world to defend the Palestinians”, – the diplomat told TASS.
“We want all these countries to come out in defense of international law – a resolution on two states. In order to live peacefully together, international control of this situation is necessary”.
Earlier News Front reported that unrest has not abated in Jerusalem for several days in a row. Last night, Israeli security forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount, injuring dozens of Palestinians.
