British and French Foreign Ministers discussed fight against illegal migration

Foreign Ministers of Great Britain and France Dominique Raab and Jean-Yves Le Drian held talks at the G7 ministerial meeting. This was reported by the British Foreign Office.

“The ministers discussed joint work to combat illegal migration across the English Channel and agreed on the need to intensify work on this problem”, – the message says.

As noted, Raab and Le Drian agreed on the need to intensify bilateral cooperation in areas of “common concern”, including climate change, vaccine supply and health.

The parties also agreed on cooperation in the field of education and financing of environmental protection measures.

Earlier, the British Foreign Secretary said that from 3 to 5 May London will host the first in two years of face-to-face series of meetings of foreign ministers of the G7 countries.
