Political analyst Michael Sheinkman commented on the plans of Czech authorities to accuse President Milos Zeman of treason
Earlier it became known that the Senate of the Czech Parliament intends to consider the possibility of accusing the President of the Republic Milos Zeman of treason in connection with his statements regarding the incident in Vrbetica, where in 2014 there were explosions at ammunition depots.
“Revealed classified information, they say. Although the only thing he disclosed was that there was nothing to disclose – nothing on Russian agents, he said. If so, he himself will be declared a “Russian agent”. He’s 74 and in a wheelchair, so he certainly won’t get away from them”, – Sheinkman wrote in his Telegram feed.
He also stressed that a constitutional complaint about treason should contain carefully worded arguments, not a denunciation. However, according to Scheinkmann, if Zeman is called “Putin’s man”, that would be enough for the Czech authorities.
