Ankara announced the use of “Sputnik V” in Turkey

Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that the use of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine will soon begin in the republic.

“I would like to inform you that the use of Sputnik V will begin in the near future”, – the head of the Ministry of Health said following a meeting of the Scientific Council on Coronavirus.

Koca recalled that Turkey is currently undergoing mass vaccinations with two vaccines: CoronaVac of the Chinese pharmaceutical corporation Sinovac Biotech, which is a weakened version of a new type of coronavirus, and Pfizer – BioNTech.
