The third wave of the coronavirus epidemic in France is likely to peak or will soon pass, French government spokesman Gabriel Attal said.
“A week after the Easter holidays Easter and a week and a half after the introduction of additional restrictive measures, the effects were noticeable. Currently, there are slightly fewer hospitalized patients with COVID than last week, and also less people who are being treated in intensive care. It seems that we have reached a peak or are probably close to passing it soon”, – said Attal during a briefing on Wednesday.
Earlier, French Health Minister Olivier Veran said that the COVID-19 epidemic in the country has begun to weaken in the past five days, new cases of infection are decreasing, but this decline remains fragile.
