Several missiles hit a US military base north of Baghdad. Two members of the Iraqi security forces were injured in the attack. This is reported by the Associated Press.
The Commander of Balad Air Base, Major General Diaa Mohsen, said at least two missiles exploded directly inside the base. One of the victims of the missile strike is in a hospital in serious condition.
Earlier it was reported that near Erbil airport, a drone filled with explosives aimed at buildings where the US base is located, causing a massive fire and damaging one of the buildings.
The agency France-Presse (AFP) noted that after the administration of Democrat Joe Biden came to power in the United States, more than 40 missile attacks were carried out in Iraq on places where the American military is stationed or the US diplomatic facilities are located.
