In France, nine new cases of thrombosis were also recorded.
According to TASS, on Saturday night, the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) issued a statement saying that the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine led to nine new cases of atypical thrombosis and four deaths in France. The statement also notes that since the start of the use of this vaccine in the country, the total number of cases of thrombosis has reached 23, and eight people have died after being vaccinated.
“In the previous communiqué, the ANSM reported 12 cases of thrombosis and four deaths. In total in France, as of April 8, 2,725 thousand vaccinations were made using the AstraZeneca vaccine. As the medical agency clarified, of all cases of negative consequence, “in 21 cases cerebral vein thrombosis and / or stomach thrombosis occurred”. There were also two cases of disseminated intravascular coagulation”, – the report says.
Doctors note that the category of affected people is significantly different from previous cases. These are older people – four women and five men, with an average age of 62 years.
At the same time, a 63-year-old man died in the Lviv region after being vaccinated with the AstraZeneca / Covishield vaccine. The man was vaccinated against Covid-19 on April 15, his death was recorded as an adverse event after immunization.
According to channel 112 Ukraine, the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksim Kozitsky reported on Facebook about the death of a Lviv resident.
“A 63-year-old man died today. According to the health department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, on April 15, 2021, a man was vaccinated against Covid-19 with the AstraZeneca / Covishield vaccine”, – the governor said.
Now this case is being considered by the regional group of rapid response to adverse events after immunization / tuberculin diagnostics of the Department of Health of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
