Putin plans to be vaccinated against coronavirus on Tuesday

Russian President Vladimir Putin will be vaccinated against the coronavirus on Tuesday. He announced this at a meeting on the progress of immunization of the population, which took place via video conference.

“Vaccination is, of course, a voluntary choice of each person, a personal decision of each person. By the way, I myself intend to do it tomorrow”, – the president said.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian leader, said that it would be “one of our three vaccines”, but did not specify which one. He stressed that all Russian vaccines are “good and reliable”. Vladimir Putin is of the same opinion.

“Today we can say with confidence, and practice undeniably confirms that Russian vaccines are absolutely reliable and safe. Moreover, no other similar foreign drugs demonstrate such a high degree of protection”, – Putin said.

In December last year, during a large press conference, the Russian leader noted that he would definitely get vaccinated against coronavirus as soon as possible. He explained that he listens to the recommendations of specialists regarding age restrictions. Peskov also clarified that the timing of vaccination against coronavirus is influenced by other vaccinations that the president makes in a timely manner, and doctors do not recommend using them at the same time.
