Over the past year and a half, Israel has attacked at least ten Iranian ships, mostly carrying oil to Syria. This is reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing sources in the region and in the US administration.
Since the end of 2019, Israel has used weapons, including underwater mines, against Iranian ships in the Red Sea and other parts of the Middle East, according to the newspaper.
Israel, according to the WSJ, fears that Iran is using oil revenues to finance extremism in the Middle East.
