Terrorists of the Islamic State group (IS, banned on the territory of the Russian Federation) blew up a pipeline in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, reports TASS.
“As a result of the explosion of the pipeline in two places, there was an ignition, firefighters and a repair team went to the place of sabotage”, – the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources of Syria said.
Militants operating in eastern Syria have repeatedly blown up oil and gas pipelines in order to damage the national economy. Last year, terrorists used drones to strike pipelines.
