Washington officially strips Yemeni Houthi rebels from terrorist list

The United States has officially removed the Ansar Allah movement of Yemeni Houthi rebels from the American list of terrorist organizations since February 16. The corresponding notice was issued by the Department for Control over Foreign Assets of the Ministry of Finance of the country.

“Today, February 16, the State Department withdraws its decision to be included in the Ansar Allah list.

“Ansar Allah” is no longer blocked under the provisions on sanctions against terrorism, provisions on sanctions against foreign terrorist organizations”, – the statement says.

 US citizens no longer require an Asset Control Authority to transact and act with Ansar Allah.
