Israeli military aircraft launched an attack on eastern Syria, the Daily Sabah reported. As a result of the air strikes, 57 people were killed.
The Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Center reported that the strikes were carried out along the border with Iraq in the cities of Deir el-Zur, Meyadin and Abu Kamal. Observers reported 18 strikes.
The attack killed 57 people, including 27 fighters from pro-Iranian units and 14 fighters from the Syrian government army. Several armories were also damaged.
