French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanen said that the man who shot at the gendarmes in the Puy-de-Dôme department was found dead, the minister went to the scene of the incident.
“The intruder was found dead. I’m going to the site”, – Darmanen tweeted.
Earlier, BFMTV reported that the gendarmes received a report of domestic violence on Wednesday morning. Arriving at the scene, they tried to rescue a woman who had taken refuge on the roof of the house. A man who was in the house shot at two gendarmes, killing one of them, after which he shot at two more gendarmes who were near the house, they also died. The BFMTV channel reported that the attacker fled the scene of the crime, and officers from the National Gendarmerie intervention team were working on the spot.
