Tel Aviv has established relations with another Arab country.
According to the Correspondent, Morocco and Israel have agreed to normalize diplomatic relations, US President Donald Trump said on his Twitter page on December 10. He called it a significant breakthrough in efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East.
“A serious, convincing and realistic Moroccan autonomy proposal is the only basis for a just and lasting solution for peace and prosperity”, – the American leader writes.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the restoration of relations with Morocco a historic event.
“The light of the world has never shone brighter in the Middle East than it is today”, – he said during a candlelight ceremony for Hanukkah. He thanked Trump for mediating in establishing relations between the two states.
