Throughout France, on Saturday 28 November, more than 130,000 people took part in freedom of information campaigns.
It is noted that about 46 thousand participants took to the streets in Paris. The march in the capital began peacefully, but then hooligans started setting cars and kiosks on fire, throwing paving stones and bottles at police officers.
The police also used tear gas and water cannons.
The security forces detained 46 people and 23 policemen were injured.
A total of about 70 enemy demonstrations took place in the country under Article 24 of the Global Security Bill concerning the shooting of police and gendarmes. The document restricts the rights of reporters to report on police brutality, which is perceived as pressure on press freedom.
