According to Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, Secretary of State to the French Minister for European and Foreign Affairs, some points were not taken into account in the tripartite statement of 9 November
France believes that the issues related to Nagorno-Karabakh, which were not mentioned in the trilateral statement of 9 November, should be resolved within the OSCE Minsk Group. This was announced by Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, Secretary of State to the French Minister for European and Foreign Affairs, at a press conference in Yerevan on Saturday.
“We have also studied the signed statement dated 9 November. Of course, there are items that are not included in this statement. This is already a political issue, we should consider all these issues within the OSCE Minsk Group”, – he said.
On 9 November, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the agreements, the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides are staying in the occupied positions, and Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the region.
