French President Emmanuelle Macron condemned the campaign to boycott French goods that has begun in several Islamic countries. He said this in an interview with the Qatari television station Al Jazeera.
“This is an unworthy and unacceptable campaign, which involves those who twisted my words about the cartoons published in Charlie Hebdo magazine”, – he said.
According to Macron, his duty as president “is to defend the freedoms that the French state guarantees its citizens. However, as the French leader stressed, this does not mean that he “personally supports everything that is said or drawn.
