The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Syria Walid Muallem spoke at the UN General Assembly and called the presence of US and Turkish troops on the territory of his country an occupation.
He noted that Damascus is ready to do whatever it takes to end it.
“The continued illegitimate presence of American and Turkish forces on Syrian soil is practically an illegal occupation. Syria will do everything in its power to put an end to this occupation, using all means in accordance with international law, ” the diplomat said.
