A convoy of US forces of several dozen military vehicles crossed the border into Iraq and entered the province of Haseke, located in northeastern Syria, Al Watan reported.
According to the source, the convoy includes 41 vehicles with weapons and equipment for logistical support of the actions of the American contingent. US Army vehicles crossed the Iraqi-Syrian border through the Alwaleed checkpoint and headed for the largest American base in the region in the city of Al Shaddadi.
It is noted that the United States has stepped up the transfer of its forces to northern Syria from Iraq after the Pentagon announced in early September the reduction of the American military contingent in Iraq from 5.6 thousand to 3 thousand troops by the end of this month.
