Lebanese army blockaded the Sunni quarter of Beirut

Lebanese army units have blockaded the Tariq al-Jedid quarter in western Beirut, where gunfire is taking place between Sunni activists from warring factions.


The clashes are with the use of small arms, but machine-gun bursts are heard from time to time, local residents report on social networks. According to eyewitnesses, there are wounded on the streets, who are taken away by ambulances.
