Erdogan says Turkey will not deviate from its path

Any attempt to exert political, diplomatic or military pressure on Ankara is doomed to failure. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following a meeting of the country’s Cabinet of Ministers.

“Every political, diplomatic and military wrong step or disrespect committed towards our country, not only does not lead us astray, but also further strengthens our resolve”, – he said.

The head of state expressed the hope that the European countries that “failed to successfully pass the tests in Cyprus, Syria and Libya, will at least adhere to a consistent line in the Eastern Mediterranean”.

President Erdogan stressed that Turkey will continue to pursue a decisive and active policy to protect its rights in the Eastern Mediterranean, just as it was done in ensuring the security of Turkey’s borders.
