Montenegro could become the center of EU electoral crisis

The European Union may face an electoral crisis. And its center will be Montenegro, which is now striving for the EU.

This was reported by Euronews, referring to numerous election fraud and the possibility of falsification of the voting results.

Milo Djukanovic is called a man who ruled for decades and after so many years in power has lost all connection with the people.

A study of the voter lists showed that there are 50,000 phantom voters in a country with a population of just over 600,000.

Half of registered voters are listed without an address. And now there is evidence that citizens of other Balkan countries have been fraudulently receiving ballots.

“The use of desperate measures is quite understandable, given the growth of opposition in the country. President Djukanovic faced massive protests that did not subside after a long time. In January 2019, demonstrations took place after the publication of a video in which the Montenegrin tycoon donates money to a leading party to buy the 2016 elections. In the same year, in connection with the adoption of a controversial religious law, a record number of protesters for Montenegro gathered”, – writes Euronews.

In 2015, Djukanovic was named the Organized Crime and Corruption Person of the Year. The publication claims that he used his power to strengthen his position. Police used violence during peaceful protests and even arrested priests.
