French will face a new wave of coronavirus, which will cover the country in November.
This was reported on Wednesday, August 26 by Professor Jean-Francois Delpherassey, who heads the scientific council that advises the government on the pandemic.
The statement came as the Marseille authorities tightened quarantine measures, reducing, among other things, the opening hours of catering facilities. The residents were also required to wear medical masks in all public places in Marseille.
Today, France ranks seventh in the world by the number of deaths from COVID-19. The government is therefore forced to monitor the situation to see if the quarantine needs to be tightened at the country level.
“There are concerns about the second wave in November”, – Delpherassey, in turn, said.
