Hungary has agreed with the United States on the supply of medium-range missiles. The deal became the largest in the history of cooperation.
The American Ambassador to Budapest David Kornstein spoke about this.
“Kornstein and Hungarian Defense Minister Tibor Benko have signed an agreement of intent for Budapest to purchase AMRAAM air-to-air guided medium-range missiles from Raytheon,” Deutsche
Welle said in a statement.
The amount of the transaction is EUR 850 million.
Hungary wants to use missiles to modernize its air defense system.
