The terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham operating in Syrian Idlib is preparing to transfer jihadists to Azerbaijan to conduct “special missions”.
This is reported by the telegram channel “WarGonzo”, citing sources in Syria.
According to reports, the leaders of the gang are assembling a unit consisting of ethnic Sunni Azerbaijanis. In total, it is planned to select 150 militants. They will be transferred through Turkey to the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to the plan, the terrorists will carry out “special missions” on the side of the Azerbaijani army.
“The operation is being carried out under the cover and direct supervision of the Turkish special services,” WarGonzo notes.
As you know, Ankara is actively cooperating with armed groups operating in Syrian Idlib. In addition, the Turkish authorities officially sided with Baku in the flared up Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
