Russia and Syria have appealed to the United States with an appeal to immediately transfer control over all occupied territories to Damascus.
This is stated in a statement by the interdepartmental coordination headquarters of the two countries on the return of refugees to Syria.
“We call on the American side to stop exerting a destabilizing influence on the situation in the Syrian Arab Republic, strictly observe international law, the principles of the United Nations and immediately transfer control over all illegally occupied Syrian territories to the Syrian government. The further occupation of the territories of Syria by the United States and its allies only increases the suffering of civilians and delays the return to a peaceful life in the country, ” it says.
In addition, Moscow and Damascus stressed that the United States hinders efforts to stabilize the situation in the country.
