Tehran has protested at the UN International Court on the impact of US sanctions on the situation with coronavirus in Iran. This was stated by Vice President of the country on legal issues Laya Dzheonady.
“A new protest was filed with the UN International Court in connection with the influence of sanctions on the spread of a coronavirus disease in Iran,” he said.
Iranian authorities have repeatedly stated that Washington’s restrictions on Tehran prevent the country from fighting the spread of coronavirus. According to the Iranian side, US sanctions impede the import of humanitarian goods into the country, including food and medicine.
