Hungary to finance Turkish Stream offshore to buy Russian gas

This was reported by the Hungarian gas transmission operator “FGSZ”.

The company’s supervisory board approved funding for the project after Hungary’s national energy regulator adopted a ten-year industry development strategy.

It is expected that the Hungarian gas pipeline will allow transporting gas supplied through the Turkish stream, two lines of which allow pumping more than 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year, bypassing Ukraine to Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and Romania. Bulgaria, in turn, is laying a gas pipeline to Serbia.
