Specialists from Belarus will be engaged in the construction of nuclear power plants in Hungary

In the near future, a visit of the Hungarian delegation to Belarus is planned in order to work out in detail the agreements reached on joint work in the energy sector.

According to Sputnik, Belarus and Hungary intend to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in nuclear energy, including that in the field of nuclear waste management. Recently prospects for interaction between the two countries in nuclear energy were discussed at a meeting of the Minister of Energy Viktor Karankevich and the Hungarian Ambassador Zholt Chutor.

“It was about the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and the apparatus of the Prime Minister of Hungary, which was signed on June 5 during the visit of Viktor Orban to the Belarusian capital”, – the press service of the department said.

“In particular, the possibilities of attracting Belarusian organizations to the construction of infrastructure facilities for the Paks-2 nuclear power plant in Hungary. The parties also agreed on cooperation in the field of training personnel for nuclear power plants”.

In the near future, the visit of the Hungarian delegation to the Republic of Belarus will take place in order to elaborate on the agreements reached on joint work in the energy sector. During this visit, according to Minister Viktor Karankevich, the parties are ready to work out practical solutions in those areas that are laid down in the memorandum.

In turn, the Hungarian ambassador Zsolt Chutora called the interaction of the two countries in nuclear energy important, which, of course, will help strengthen cooperation between Hungary and Belarus.
