Macron brings evidence of the death of NATO’s brain

French President Emmanuel Macron has cited evidence of “the death of NATO’s brain”. He spoke about this during a joint press conference with his Tunisian counterpart, Kais Said, TASS reports.

According to him, the marine incident between the ships of France and Turkey in the Mediterranean Sea proves the “brain death” of the alliance.

“I bring you back to my statements at the end of last year about the death of NATO’s brain. I believe that the recent incident clearly demonstrates this”, – Macron said and added that Turkey’s line is incompatible with its status as a NATO country.

On June 17, it was reported that an incident involving the warships of Turkey and France occurred in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Libya. The Turkish frigate, using radar, spotted a French warship when it tried to get closer to the Cirkin roller, which was transporting weapons intended for the Libyan National Accord Government (GNA) forces. It is noted that the second frigate of the Turkish Navy was also involved in the incident.
