General Ben Hodges demands stopping Syrian Express

The former commander of the US ground forces in Europe believes that the southern borders of NATO require close attention due to the activity of Russia.

General Ben Hodges demands stopping Syrian Express

According to the Chergoviy OOS TV channel, retired US General Ben Hodges proposed creating an NATO outpost in Romania and making it an equally important strategic hub than the current alliance bases in the Baltic states and Poland. The task of the outpost, according to the general, should be to block the Syrian Express of the Russians.

Recall that the “Syrian Express” is a well-established symbol for the regular trips of Russian landing ships to Syria, the purpose of which was to supply some “special cargo” for the Syrian Armed Forces. The choice of landing ships is based on the impossibility for third countries to detain and search them.
