According to a source, US military vehicles entered Syria through a checkpoint near the village of Al-Valid. The convoy consists of at least 50 vehicles, the vast majority of which are loaded with building materials, as well as fuel tanks. They are accompanied by several combat army Hummer SUVs. All of this equipment is sent to the oil-bearing region in northeast Syria.

Recall that at the end of last year, Trump approved a plan according to which several hundred US troops will remain in Syria, one of their main tasks will be to ensure control of oil fields in the north-east of the country. A limited contingent of US forces continues to be located in Syria since 2015. In Iraq, US troops have been performing various missions since 2003.
