Iranian Foreign Minister corrected US statement on protests in his country and addressed it towards Washington

Countries in conflict with the United States seem to intend to use the protests over the death of George Floyd as a trump card in their arguments against Washington.

An impressive statement was made by Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. He published a screenshot of the State Department’s statement on protests in Iran from June 2018 and corrected all references to Iran to the United States, Iranians to Americans, adapting it to the current situation in America:

“The US government scatters the resources of its citizens, whether it is adventurism in Asia, Africa and Latin America, the support of countless dictators, or his ambition to wastefully expand his nuclear program. It will only increase suffering of the people of Iran of America. As I said, no one should be surprised at the continuation of the protests in America. The American people require their leaders to share the wealth of the country and meet their legitimate needs. We condemn the useless tactics of the government, such as suppression, imprisonment of protesters and refusal to listen to disappointed Americans. The people of America are tired of (racism), corruption, injustice, and the incompetence of their leaders. The world hears their voices”.
