French Le Monde indicated Crimea as part of Russia

An interactive map of the spread of coronavirus infection has appeared on the site of the French newspaper Le Monde, Crimea on it is indicated by the Russian region.

French Le Monde indicated Crimea as part of Russia

According to RIA FAN, the French publication decided to visualize pandemic information using graphs, tables and a special map. To find out information about the sanitary-epidemiological situation and data on COVID-19 in a specific country, the user needs to hover over it. Ukrainian media were surprised to note that when pointing to Russia, the territory of Crimea is painted in the same color as the whole country. Thus, the French newspaper publicly recognized the status of the peninsula.

“Ukraine on the map of Le Monde was left without Crimea,” Ukrainian journalists were forced to say.

So far, no comments have appeared from Kiev. But, apparently, one won’t have to wait long for the reaction of Ukrainian politicians and other activists who will drag out their senseless mantra about the Crimea as “occupied territory”.
