Iraq imposes eight-day curfew

Limitations will last from May 22 to May 30. They will act during the celebration of Uraza Bairam.

Iraq on Saturday, May 16, announced the introduction of a round-the-clock curfew for eight days due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported by Al Arabiya.

The round-the-clock self-isolation mode will begin on Friday, May 22, and will last until May 30.

It is noted that the three-day holiday of the burning of Uraza Bairam, which ends the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, will also be held by Iraqis in isolation. By tradition, these days they visit relatives and friends, travel out of town, gather in parks and other places of recreation.
 
At the moment, according to information from Johns Hopkins University, 3260 infected with coronavirus have been detected in Iraq, 121 people have died and 2126 have recovered.
