The French authorities will remove restrictions on movement on the streets of cities of the country from May 11.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, speaking in the National Assembly, said that from this date it would be possible to move around without special passes.
An exception is for trips more than 100 km from the place of residence, which are possible only for good family or work reasons.
Restrictions on movement are valid in France from March 17.
According to the latest data, more than 128 thousand cases of coronavirus were detected in the country, more than 23.2 thousand people died.
