International terrorists continue to make attempts to transfer militants who have gained experience in Syria and Iraq to Russia, said Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev.
His words were voiced at a meeting on national security in the Ural Federal District.
As Nikolai Patrushev noted, the threat of terrorism continues to exist in Russia at present. It is caused by the activity of international terrorist organizations operating in the territory of Russia as conspiratorial “sleeping cells” and collecting funds for their activities.
“Attempts are being made to transfer to our country people who have gained combat experience as part of gangs in Syria and Iraq”, – the reporters quoted the Security Council Secretary as saying.
