The front runner for the presidency among Democrats gave another interview to NBC News.
To the host’s question about whether he would temporarily lift sanctions from Iran for the period of the pandemic (a proposal voiced by his rival Bernie Sanders), Biden replied:
“I don’t have enough information about the situation in Iran now, I’m not sure…”
It’s pretty strange to hear that from a presidential candidate. Especially from Joe Biden, who for 8 years was Vice President of the Obama administration and actually negotiated with Iran on a nuclear agreement.
What he says further does not save the situation:
“There are many rumors among my foreign policy team that they have big problems and that they are lying. But I need more information to make that decision”.
