Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron during a telephone conversation discussed the current aspects of a settlement in Syria and Libya, the Kremlin press service said.
The Presidents had a telephone conversation initiated by the French side.
“Actual aspects of the settlement in Syria and Libya are affected. It was agreed to continue contacts at various levels”, – the statement said.
Presidents of Russia and France Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron also discussed the situation around the coronavirus pandemic.
As noted, the heads of state informed each other about the measures introduced to counter the spread of this infection and minimize negative socio-economic consequences.
The parties reiterated their commitment to further coordination in matters of returning citizens of the two countries to their homeland, as well as providing conditions for the transportation of medical supplies and equipment, the report said.
Earlier, a spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov informed that after a conversation with Macron, Putin joined the emergency G20 online summit.
