Czech President spoke out against anti-Russian sanctions.
Zeman noted that such restrictions are not able to change the situation as a whole, this applies not only to Russia.
“I have always been an opponent of not only anti-Russian, but generally any sanctions. Because I consider them ineffective. Sanctions against Cuba have been in effect for 50 years. Nothing has changed, and the Castro regime continues to exist”, – he said.
In his opinion, if all these 50 years foreign politicians, students, tourists and entrepreneurs traveled freely to Cuba, the situation in this country could be completely different.
In December, Boris Kheifets, chief researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, commented on the impact of anti-Russian sanctions on the economies of European countries in an interview with the NSN.
