Russian military police began patrolling the M4 and M5 highways in the Syrian city of Seracab, which was recaptured from militants.
“In accordance with the task, the military police unit arrived in the city of Seracab and began to patrol the M4-M5 routes in order to ensure the safe movement of civilian vehicles along these routes and to prevent provocations from the gangs,” said the commander of the Russian military police patrol Evgeny Sergeyev.
The Russian military police have already carried out the second patrol in Seracab. The city is under the control of the Syrian army.
On the eve of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria announced the introduction of military units of Russia in Seracab.
