France is ready to help Greece and Bulgaria in protecting borders from the influx of migrants

On Monday night, French President Emmanuel Macron expressed on Twitter solidarity with Greece and Bulgaria on the occasion of the influx of migrants from Turkey, which opened the border with the European Union.

“Complete solidarity with Greece and Bulgaria. France is ready to contribute to European efforts to provide them with urgent help and protect the borders”, – the French President said in a statement.

He also expressed readiness for joint actions to prevent a humanitarian and migration crisis.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced last Saturday that his country had opened borders with the EU for migrants.

After this announcement, according to European media, on the border with Greece from the Turkish side on Sunday about 12 thousand migrants accumulated, attempting to infiltrate Greek territory.

The main migration pressure has fallen to the share of the countries of “advanced positions” – Greece and Bulgaria.
