Turkey throws military equipment to the border with Syria

Another column of armored personnel carriers and tanks reached the Reyhanli region of Hatay province on the border with Syrian Idlib. This is reported by Anadolu.

Military equipment has been transferred to the border with Syria in order to strengthen military units deployed in border areas. The war in Syria began in March 2011, when peaceful protest demonstrations escalated into armed conflict after the military opened fire on the demonstrators.

According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), over the years of the conflict in Syria, 6.6 million people became internally displaced persons, 5.6 million became refugees.
