Another protest against pension reform has started in Paris

Another protest action against the pension reform began in Paris from the Italian Square.

The demonstration was once again organized by major French unions, including CGT, FSU, FO, Solidaires.
Participants of the action with the traditional slogans and calls to cancel the pension system began moving along the Avenue de Goblin and Boulevard Por Royale in the 13th district of Paris.

The procession is expected to end in Place Vauban near the Maison des Invalides.

As long as the rally remains calm, security at the procession is monitored by numerous law enforcement forces.
On Tuesday, firefighters protested in Paris and clashed with the police.

Since December 5 – the day of the strike against the government’s pension reform – there have been many protests in France, attended by representatives of various professions – transport workers, lawyers, teachers and others. As a result of the strike throughout the country for more than a month, the work of public transport was significantly disrupted – the subway, trains. At present, the situation with transport has normalized.

Despite the large scale of protests, the French authorities have no intention of abandoning their plans for reform. Last Friday, January 24, the draft pension law reform was presented at a meeting of the French Cabinet of Ministers. In February, the document will be submitted to Parliament.
